SHANTIGARH UPCOMING EVENTS
IMPORTANT SHANTIGARH ADVENT/CHRISTMAS UPDATE Please take note of our upcoming dates and times for rehearsals and Masses. Thank you for your willingness to share your precious time with your parish and faith community. Saturday, December 14th : No Rehearsal Sunday, December 15th (Third Sunday of Advent): Rehearsal begins at 3:30 pm Please, please, please try to be on time. It is difficult when we rehearse songs and then folks come in late and miss them. Obviously, we understand that things can come up that might deter your arrival, but please make an effort to be on time. If you are going to be late, it helps if you send a text letting us know that. Eileen’s cell is best: (818) 667-9572 Saturday, December 21st 11:00 am to 1:00 pm: Special Christmas Rehearsal Yes, it is the third Saturday, but it is our only chance to make sure we are ready for Christmas. Please make this a priority. Sunday, December 22nd (Fourth Sunday of Advent): 3:00 pm Rehearsal – please note the earlier starting time. This will allow a half hour to review Christmas again. Wednesday, December 25th 8:30 am Mass – Call time is 8:00 am ready to sing. There is very little time between the end of the 7:00 am Mass and the beginning of the 8:30 Mass. 10:00 am Mass – Call time is 9:30 am ready to sing. As above there is very little time between the two Masses. It would be most helpful if you could let me know which Christmas Masses you will be singing. Sunday, December 29th: 1:30 pm Aidan’s Baptism Father Dave Genders (former member of Shantigarh for those who don’t know him) will be baptizing Shannon and Nate’s baby, Aidan at 1:30. Shannon would love it if Shantigarh would provide some songs. We are honored to participate in this special moment in the Shantigarh family story! Please mark your calendar. And finally, looking ahead to January, be sure to mark your new calendar aswell for Saturday, January 18, 2014 for the Annual Requiem for the Unborn at the Cathedral. The Mass is at 6:00 pm that evening. Dress Rehearsal is on Wednesday, January 15 at 7:00 pm. For those new to the group, this is an Archdiocesan Mass (composed by John) and attended by some 3,000 people from all over Southern California. It is a very special part of our ministry. Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment.
